    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p style=\"margin-left:36.0pt;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Reporting to the Department Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and controlling all of Hood Packaging&#39;s day-to-day production operations for the shift (A, B, C, or D). The incumbent of this position must ensure the execution of the daily production plan sent to him or her in the safest manner, on time and using all the resources required. He or she will be the main point of contact for his or her team for any issues related to the day-to-day activities on the production floor.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><u>Health and Safety Responsibility</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0cm;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 26px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Act as a leader in occupational health and safety by ensuring that employees always practice safe behaviors.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Ensure that policies and instructions are strictly followed by all unionized employees.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Ensure that health and safety training is provided to all employees under their responsibility.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Train employees in safe work procedures and enforce safety rules.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Ensure that health and safety deficiencies are properly identified, communicated and that follow-ups are carried out according to an acceptable schedule and management standards.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Report all incidents and near-misses to management as soon as possible.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Participate in the investigation following a near miss as soon as possible.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Be a key player in the development of the OHS culture within Glopak.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Lead and participate in <em>the Gemba Walk</em> for OSH</li></ul></div><p><u>Production management, quality and processes</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0cm;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 26px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Plan daily production activities to execute work orders based on production planning.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Analyze performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily basis and act with their team to maintain and improve them.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Receive and use all reports related to the functions of each department.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Provide additional information to reports to assist managers in each department&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Communicate, manage and control productivity at an acceptable margin to meet objectives.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Organize the presence of consumables and tools.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Monitor quality controls to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Ensure that there is a clear understanding and appreciation of teamwork to achieve the company&#39;s quality goals.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Actively participate in quality meetings and corrective actions taken to prevent recurring quality problems.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Control and monitor losses, whether material or time.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Take corrective action to eliminate all excess scrap in operations.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p><u>Human resources management</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0cm;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 26px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">To ensure a good working atmosphere free of violence and harassment of any kind.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Participate in the management of employee training including task training, onboarding training, etc.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Be responsible for the training and evaluation of new recruits and existing staff who acquire new positions.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Act as a facilitator in the event of conflicts between employees or any issues affecting employees.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Participate in quarterly employee meetings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Be an active member of the Labor Relations Committee and the Health and Safety Committee.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Establish and maintain a relationship of trust and maintain excellent communication with local managers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Ensure a communication link between unionized employees and management.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Manage their team&#39;s vacation schedule in accordance with the collective agreement.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Assign personnel to machinery or equipment according to the production schedule and in accordance with the collective agreement.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Maintain accurate records and reports of attendance, discipline and vacation.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p><u>Other tasks&nbsp;</u></p><div style=\"margin-left:0cm;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 26px;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Comply with and maintain SQF and HACCP standards of their department&#39;s daily operations.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Support the organization to maintain our SQF structure and FDA certification.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Participate in conferences, training or other activities to increase their knowledge and skills in this position, at the
