    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>FLSA Classification:&nbsp;</strong>Part Time Seasonal, Non-Exempt AFSCME</p><p><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong>$16.59-$21.20/hr DOQ</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Superintendent of Golf Grounds or&nbsp;Assistant Golf Course Superintendent</p><p><strong>Date:&nbsp;</strong>February 2026</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Summary</strong></p><p>Under the direction and supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, Seasonal Golf Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and landscaping tasks related to the continual care and upkeep of the golf course. Duties include but not limited to; mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, watering, trash picking/collection, etc. and other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties</strong></p><p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential duties.</em></p><ul><li>Mow Greens, Tees, Collars, Approaches, Fairways, Roughs and other areas as directed.</li><li>Waters Overnight as needed by managements determination.</li><li>Repairs the Irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as needed.</li><li>Grades and prepares soil base. Lays sod and seeds areas as needed.</li><li>Perform power and trim mowing on golf course.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate and support Park District customer service standards.</li><li>Follow district and department safety, personnel, and administrative policies, procedures and ordinances.</li><li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Hours</strong></p><p>This is a seasonal, union position. This position requires working Monday through Friday with one morning on weekends. Holidays and overnight as needed. Hours range from 40-55 hours a week.</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p><p>None</p><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment and in outdoor weather conditions. &nbsp; Employee frequently works in situations and is exposed to fumes, airborne particles and other hazards and elements. &nbsp;The noise level within the employee&rsquo;s work environment frequently exceeds the normal decibel levels. The Park District provides safety equipment for these situations. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p><em>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
