Overview Provides ongoing care and assistance to participants by providing for individual dietary needs. Responsible for the adequate inventory, storage and preparation of snacks/meals to meet participant dietary needs and likes. Responsible for weekly shopping in accordance with prescribed diets. Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen and inventory of related items. Responsibilities Responsible for the quality preparation & service of snacks & meals in accordance with participant likes and dietary guidelines as set forth by a Dietician.................................................................................... 30% Ensures participant health and safety by ensuring correct portions and food consistency are served and through the use of appropriate adaptive equipment................................................................................. 10% Responsible for weekly shopping in accordance with participant likes and dietary guidelines as set forth by a Dietician........................................................................................................................................ 10% Responsible for overall kitchen cleanliness & operation by performing daily household chores (i.e. empties garbage, sweeps/mops floor, cleans pots/pans, counter tops, ovens, etc.) and through the request to repair necessary items for maintenance of a sanitary environment and good appearance........................................................................................................................................ 10% Responsible for completion of HACCP and kitchen safety training........................................ 10% Maintains an adequate inventory of food to meet participant needs by the daily restocking of refrigerator and cabinets.......................................................................................................................................... 5% Processes food deliveries in accordance with food safety standards and by rotation of stock by dating and labeling of items.............................................................................................................................. 5% Implements participant specific programs (i.e. behavioral, meals etc.) by following the goal book plan to promote skills and independence........................................................................................................ 5% Ensures all individual's rights are maintained by providing for individual food preferences......... 5% Serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary team by attending and participating in meetings to discuss participant progress and needs.............................................................................................................. 5% Assists in the ordering of kitchen supplies (utensils, food, etc.) by inventory, identification and notification of needed items.................................................................................................................................. 5% Performs additional related duties as requested by supervisor.
