Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in manufacturing construction chemicals and building materials — including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration.
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering and Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of plant equipment, processes, and facility projects. The Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute capital projects, improve operational efficiency, and support the growth of our manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys managing projects from concept through implementation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Project Manager to define project scope, develop budgets, coordinate permitting activities, and establish project execution plans.
Manage assigned projects to ensure completion on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
Monitor project performance and provide regular updates regarding project status, risks, timelines, and expenditures.
Coordinate and review CAD drawings, equipment layouts, and design modifications.
Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and validation activities.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Stay current on industry trends, engineering technologies, and best practices and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What’s in it for you
In this role, you will earn a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
Eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual performance and company results.
FREE medical insurance for employees or the option of a highly competitive medical plan with minimal monthly contributions.
17 days of paid vacation and personal time annually (prorated in year one).
401(k) retirement plan with up to 6% company match.
Dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, employer-paid life insurance, and free telemedicine services.
Additional employee-focused programs including tuition reimbursement, discounted home and auto insurance, supplemental life insurance, and more.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum three (3) years of engineering, project engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related industrial experience.
Experience supporting capital projects within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of batch liquid mixing systems and related process equipment is a plus.
