Description

I nstructor of English Writing The English Writing Program (EWP) at Biola University is accepting applications for part-time writing instructors, to begin August 2026. Courses are taught in person and may include ENGL 313, an upper-division writing-in-the-disciplines course; ENGL112, a first-year critical thinking and writing course; and ENGL100, a stretch-model writing course that includes mentoring teaching assistants. The EWP is committed to cultivating diversity and the integration of faith and learning. Education and Experience Required Candidates are required to have at least an MA in hand by the beginning of the Fall 2026 semester; candidates with a terminal degree (MFA or PhD) are preferred. Candidates with prior teaching experience, including graduate instruction, in rhetoric and composition are also preferred. Application Instructions Please attach the following application materials: Letter of Interest, CV, and a one-page Testimony of Faith. Letters may be addressed to Professor Christopher Davidson, Co-Director of the English Writing Program. Promising candidates will receive faculty applications. Position open until filled.
