This role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and direct technical engagement in escalations, image management, endpoint security, and service delivery.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of Windows 11 desktop images.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Provide advanced troubleshooting support for operating systems, applications, mobile devices (iOS/Android), and peripherals.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Act as final escalation point for complex Active Directory, Group Policy, endpoint security, and deployment issues.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Oversee application packaging, testing, validation, and controlled deployments.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Ensure proper workstation security configurations including encryption, antivirus, firewall settings, and patch management.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Support and oversee desktop virtualization platforms and endpoint management solutions.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Participate directly in high-impact, VIP, or enterprise-wide incidents.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Monitor and manage ServiceNow queues, ticket quality, SLA adherence, and performance metrics.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation standards.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Ensure accurate asset lifecycle management and hardware refresh planning.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Coordinate onboarding/offboarding activities in compliance with security policies.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Lead root cause analysis efforts and drive preventative solutions.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Maintain compliance with Federal, NIH, or other regulatory standards where applicable.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Ensure adherence to enterprise security baselines and configuration standards.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Oversee endpoint encryption, patching cadence, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Partner with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to maintain secure desktop operations.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Support audit responses and documentation requirements.</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ~10 desktop engineers (Tier 1–Tier 3).</li><li style=\"line-height: 1.38;\">Provide technical guidance and serve as escalation point for complex desktop, imaging, and application issues.</li></ul>",
