If you would like to join a company who wins high profile projects with blue chip clients and if you enjoy working in a stimulating environment, then Flynn is the company for you.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REPORTING TO:              </span>Data Centre MEP Lead</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Purpose of Role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Manage the successful delivery of MEP systems across all Flynn Data Centre projects from specification compliance through to successful testing, commissioning and handover of services.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Role Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Identify and shortlist potential M&amp;E partners during the Tender process and assist project team in the selection of same at pre-award meetings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Be accountable for the completeness, coordination, timing and buildability of the building design by the design consultants including all statutory and Data Centre compliance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Lead Stage 3/4 design development and technical reviews while managing the design co-ordination between consultants and M&amp;E vendors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Critically monitor the operational and commercial aspects of the design and determine strategies and actions to mitigate risks and optimise profitability.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Review employer’s requirements, specifications and contractor proposals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Drive BIM coordination and clash resolution from an early stage and identify any technical and compliance risks early in the programme</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Support procurement strategy and MEP subcontractor selectionAct as the escalation point and manage any escalated MEP issue to successful conclusion</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Establish an excellent Safety culture by your example, ensuring that every member of your team buys into the Flynn’s culture of safety excellence</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ensure the procedures and requirements of our Safety Management and Environmental Management Systems are implemented on all projects and filtered down to all TSMs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Build/resource the M&amp;E team by selecting appropriate team members for individual projects &amp; clarify role requirements of TSM team</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Generate a positive team ethic and promote a culture of inclusivity and insist your staff do the same.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Communicate constructively with all the M&amp;E team; commend freely and reward the extra mile.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Develop the skill levels of individuals and teams. Ensure resource allocation in terms of time availability and financial support. Coach and mentor key talent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Manage project team’s performance holding them accountable to the agreed goals and standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Review tender documents where appropriate to ensure M&amp;E packages are cost efficient.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Perform due diligence on M&amp;E sub-contractors’ packages and flag issues that have a commercial implication</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Manage escalated variations with the QS teams</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Oversee projects to ensure Flynn’s QMS is implemented for all MEP activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Attend select project/M&amp;E meetings where a senior presence is required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Monitor and track progress of relevant M&amp;E installs. Manage escalated issues in line with senior project management requirements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Oversee the commissioning, demonstration and handover process to ensure successful M&amp;E delivery</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Perform the duties of an M&amp;E Coordinator where required on specific projects</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">The Candidate</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Educated to degree level or equivalent NVQ level.
