    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>We are seeking talented team members at <strong>Kisco Kensington.</strong> The <strong>Medication Technician </strong>administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule</strong>: On Call</p>\n<p><strong>Pay: </strong>$21/$22hr</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What will I do every day?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, Resident </li>\n <li>Care Coordinator (RCC)/Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC), or appropriate physician</li>\n <li>Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist</li>\n <li>Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction</li>\n <li>Document and report changes of condition and use company forms for resident care documentation</li>\n <li>Provide medication set up and assistance</li>\n <li>Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns immediately</li>\n <li>Track all medications and re-order as needed</li>\n <li>Perform the following tasks with residents: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities</li>\n <li>Follow all regulatory and company policies regarding the destruction of medications as identified by the physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director</li>\n <li>Assist in documenting and removing medications that are discontinued by the resident’s physician</li>\n <li>Familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications</li>\n <li>Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs</li>\n <li>Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety</li>\n <li>Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary tasks are completed</li>\n <li>Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC</li>\n <li>Work as part of the team within your department and across the community</li>\n <li>Support open and honest communication with and between all associates</li>\n <li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working</li>\n <li>Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis</li>\n <li>Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement</li>\n <li>Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook</li>\n <li>Understand and support the community sales process</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What will I need to be successful in this role?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bring a smile to work every day</li>\n <li>Be a great team player</li>\n <li>Be a high school graduate   </li>\n <li>Nursing Assistant course (State approved, if required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 21 years of age (or meet state requirements)</li>\n <li>Have current First Aid and CPR certification</li>\n <li>Have completed the required training, and/or certification (according to state) for assisting with medications</li>\n <li>Must be knowledgeable of pertinent regulations with monitoring and licensing of the residence</li>\n <li>Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including: Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom applications</li>\n <li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What’s in it for me?
