    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Overview:</span><br>This position will work at the Main Lab (Corporate Lab) for Valley Medical and Wellness, <br>located in Burnsville, MN. Lab Technologist II is responsible for overseeing and maintaining <br>the toxicology and molecular workflow to support and maintain timely and accurate <br>testing.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibility:</span><br>• Perform Instrument maintenance on AU480, Shimadzu LCMS and <br>temperature/humidity monitoring.<br>• Process samples through toxicology and molecular workflow including loading, <br>technical review, and queueing of analytical instrumentation.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Duties as needed:</span><br>• Perform qualitative and quantitative LCMS data analysis.<br>• Prepare Standards, Quality Controls, Internal standards and other reagents required <br>for optimal functioning of analytical testing.<br>• Process patient results through (LIS) with high attention to detail.<br>• Perform and maintain toxicology extraction panel standards, quality controls, and <br>internal standards for all LC/MS/MS and perform necessary reagent qualification <br>prior to release for production use.<br>• Document corrective and preventative action in all testing procedures.<br>• Utilize knowledge, understanding, and proficiency in LC/MS/MS methodology to <br>perform root cause analysis and instrument troubleshooting.<br>• Perform CAP proficiencies as a part of standard patient workflow.<br>• Clean glassware and laboratory workspace as assigned.<br>• Manage Laboratory Inventory: conduct inventory, initiate orders, receive supplies, <br>and rotate stock appropriately for cost effective use.<br>• Adhere to assigned standard work and utilize time and resources effectively.<br>• Adequate vision required for close, peripheral, depth perception capabilities, and <br>the ability to adjust focus.<br>• Other duties as assigned</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills and Knowledge:</span><br>• Recent (within the last 2 years) experience performing fundamental LC/MS <br>operations. ASCP accreditation strongly preferred.<br>• Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the preparation, <br>processing and analysis of biological samples using LC-MS/MS toxicology testing.<br>• Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and proficiency in LCMS instrumentation <br>troubleshooting.<br>• Knowledge of CLIA &amp; CAP regulatory practices or other lab accreditation programs.<br>• Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices <br>including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.<br>• Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.<br>• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and <br>clients.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Education, Experience and Credentials:</span><br>• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university in chemical, biological, <br>clinical laboratory science or medical technology, or equivalent education and <br>experience.<br>• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).<br>• Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage time.<br>• Ability to work in fast-paced environment to maintain test quality and efficiency.<br>• Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Position Details: (hours, locations, commute)</span><br>• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays 3:30PM to 12:00AM and Saturdays 11AM7:30PM.
