Our strength lies in our people, and those people consistently exceed expectations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Corgan is seeking a Senior Sustainability Specialist to join its dynamic and expanding ECHO team of sustainable design experts to lead, manage and support a wide array of projects ranging from aviation, data centers, education, interiors and others. You will contribute to and manage several concurrent projects supporting the design team on topics including but not limited to: design and assessment of various projects; bespoke sustainability frameworks; health and well-being design strategies; building physics and material science; third party certifications; GHG emission analysis; coordination of sustainability assessments and benchmarking of building projects. You will also work on projects which focus on the development of climate impact mitigation and resilience strategies. The role will challenge you to work across interdisciplinary teams with a wide range of client types.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The role seeks an individual with a strong combination of technical, strategic, and management thinking as well as effective communication skills across mediums. In this role, you’d be , contribute to the design of energy/water/waste systems, lead sustainability assessment workshops, source energy & resource efficiency ideas, identify and analyze alternatives, quantify sustainability impacts using life-cycle analysis and other metrics help develop spreadsheet or coding-based analyses , prepare written summaries of work for clients, present on process and findings to technical and non-technical audiences, attend client meetings, and assist with or lead proposals. Your experience and capability will determine the breadth of your responsibility.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead design teams in developing design strategies and priorities to achieve desired sustainability goals including third-party certifications such as LEED, WELL, ILFI and others </li>\n <li>Work closely with studio Project Managers to support all aspects of LEED rating system projects including project registration, credit documentation, submittal, and review comments  </li>\n <li>Stay up to date on project schedules and positioning within the LEED certification process, including coordination of internal and external action items required to complete LEED documentation  </li>\n <li>Lead in design reviews to compile LEED compliance reports and action item lists  </li>\n <li>Attend and take minutes for project meetings  </li>\n <li>Create, update and improve internal process templates  </li>\n <li>Lead with healthy and sustainable materials research and product vetting  </li>\n <li>Support multiple projects at varying stages in the design and construction process  </li>\n <li>Provide research support to Project Managers on cutting edge sustainable design and construction strategies and technologies  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay up to date on innovative industry schemes  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors’ degree in a field related to building science such as architecture, engineering, or construction management</li>\n <li>4 -6 years of relevant experience with LEED and/or other third-party certification project work including documenting credits on LEED Online  </li>\n <li>LEED AP BD+C or ID+C is desired</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret formal construction documents, inclusive Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Landscape, and Civil plan sets and specifications  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of Construction Specification Institute (CSI) format  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of WELL Building Standard and Living Building Challenge  </li>\n <li>Proficient use of Microsoft Office  </li>\n <li>An innate attention to detail  </li>\n <li>A team player that gets the job done and sees no task as too small  </li>\n <li>Thrives on building and managing relationships with clients as well as team members  </li>\n <li>Understands the importance of efficiency and know how to work smart, not just hard  </li>\n <li>A passion for sustainability  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is designated as <strong>full-time on-site</strong> and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location <strong>Monday through Friday during standard business hours</strong>.
