Apply now!</span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span></p>\n<p>The Dump Truck Driver position is a highly safety-sensitive role requiring skill and attentiveness in operating triaxle and tandem dump trucks. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials to and from job sites, quarries, and asphalt plants. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with general labor tasks such as miscellaneous maintenance of equipment, and shoveling, sweeping, and cleaning of work areas. Dispatched travel is within a 60-mile radius of a designated start and end location, ensuring that drivers are home each evening.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate Equipment: Safely operate triaxle or tandem dump trucks to haul materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or asphalt.</li>\n<li>Safety Compliance: <span>Adhere to all company, State, and Federal trucking laws and regulations, including weight limits, defensive driving practices, and proper load tarping.</span></li>\n<li>Follow Directions: <span>Take direction from supervisors regarding assignments, routes, and operational procedures.</span></li>\n<li>Vehicle Maintenance: <span>Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitor dashboard gauges, and maintain truck cleanliness, reporting any major issues to the Supervisor.</span></li>\n<li>Monitor Site Conditions: <span>Stay alert to road conditions, job site hazards, and changes in assignments via CB radio communication.</span></li>\n<li>Foster Teamwork and Respect: <span>Work professionally with co-workers, dispatchers, and site personnel to ensure efficient operations and a collaborative work environment.</span></li>\n<li>Documentation: <span>Accurately complete and submit daily logs, truck reports, and other required documentation in compliance with company, State, and Federal regulations.</span></li>\n<li>Weather Readiness: <span>Be prepared to operate in various weather conditions while ensuring safe transport of materials.</span></li>\n<li>Physical Tasks: <span>Perform additional tasks as needed, including keeping the truck bed clean and free of material buildup.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience: 1 year of experience performing similar key <span>responsibilities in commercial driving preferred.</span></li>\n<li>Certification/License:\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess a valid CDL.</li>\n<li>Must have a current medical certificate.</li>\n<li>Must pass a Clearinghouse check and maintain a clean driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Additional Skills:\n<ul>\n<li>Strong attention to safety and adherence to <span>protocols.</span><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">DOT Physical Examination: <span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">Certification from a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical examiner (in the U.S.) to ensure fitness for operating heavy vehicles.</span> </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Strength &amp; Endurance: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. frequently.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Sitting for Long Periods: Extended periods of driving (8+ hours) while maintaining alertness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Climbing &amp; Balancing: Climbing in and out of the truck cab multiple times a day, often using ladders or steps.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Manual Dexterity: Operating truck controls, levers, and sometimes tarping systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Walking &amp; Standing: Walking around job sites, inspecting the vehicle, and securing loads.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Kneeling &amp; Bending: Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking undercarriage and tires.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Good Vision &amp; Hearing: Adequate vision for reading gauges, spotting hazards, and navigating traffic; hearing to communicate with site personnel and hear alarms/horns.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\">Safe Vehicle Entry and Exit- Employees must be able to enter and exit commercial motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment while maintaining three points of contact<span> (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand). </span></span><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><br></span></p>\n<p>Candidates should be prepared to work in occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, dust, and mud. They must also be available for irregular hours and overtime shifts as needed.
