    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p><p>The Certified Pipe Welder is responsible for performing high quality pipe welding operations in accordance with industry codes, safety standards and project specifications. This role ensures the structural integrity and precision of fabricated components while contributing to the efficient project delivery and overall quality assurance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong><em>The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.</em></strong></p><ul><li>Perform Pipe welding using appropriate processes (MIG and TIG) based on project requirements and certifications.</li><li>Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare and execute welds accurately.</li><li>Inspect materials, joints, and completed welds to ensure compliance with industry codes, standards (e.g., AWS, ASME), and quality requirements.</li><li>Operate and maintain welding tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and fabricators to ensure welds align with design specifications.</li><li>Follow established safety procedures, including the use of PPE, to maintain a safe work environment.</li><li>Identify and report material defects, equipment issues, or quality concerns promptly.</li><li>Maintain welding certifications through ongoing training and testing as required.</li><li>Document work performed, including weld logs and inspection records.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Proven experience as a welder in construction, manufacturing or industrial settings.</li><li>Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy and fabrication processes.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.</li><li>Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and safety practices.</li></ul><p><strong>CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:</strong></p><ul><li>Current and valid Pipe Welding Certification required.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Strong attention to detail.</li><li>Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic work environment.</li><li>Commitment to safety and quality standards.</li><li>Strong teamwork and commitment to skills.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY</strong></p><ul><li>Work is performed in both shop and field settings.</li><li>Varying environmental conditions including heat, humidity, cold, and outdoor weather.</li><li>Ability to stand, stoop, crouch and bend for extended periods.</li><li>Capable of lifting, carrying and moving objects us to 50 pounds and occasionally heavier with assistance.</li><li>Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate welding equipment</li><li>Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, noise, dust and fumes with following safety protocols.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>EQUIPMENT/TOOLS</strong><strong><br></strong></p><ul><li>Welding machines and processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux Core)</li><li>Cutting equipment (oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutter, grinders, saws)</li><li>Hand tools (hammers, clamps, chisels, wrenches, measuring devices)</li><li>Power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, portable saws)</li><li>Welding jigs, fixtures, and positioners</li><li>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including welding helmet, gloves, respirators, safety glasses, and protective clothing</li><li>Lifting and rigging equipment (hoists, cranes, forklifts) when applicable</li><li>Blueprint reading tools and software (ability to read and interpret welding symbols, shop drawings, and technical diagrams)</li></ul><p><strong><br></strong><em><strong>Baker Group&nbsp;</strong></em><strong>is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
