This role will be full-time and will be required to work various morning, evening &amp; night shifts. Schedules are made a month in advance.</p>\n<p><i>Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.</i>&nbsp;<i>We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.&nbsp;</i></p>\n<p><strong>Featured Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Committed to Team Member Health:&nbsp;</strong>offering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement:&nbsp;</strong>Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.</li>\n <li><strong>Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:&nbsp;</strong>offering<strong>&nbsp;</strong>up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.</li>\n <li><strong>Mental Health Support:&nbsp;</strong>offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance:&nbsp;</strong>offering<strong>&nbsp;</strong>paid time off and paid parental leave.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Senior Power Plant Operator Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>As a Power Plant Operator Sr, you will adhere to departmental/governmental safety standards and organizational/departmental personal appearance policies.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>To help achieve our mission, you will repair and maintain powerhouse equipment to minimize interruptions of utilities to the hospital.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Your ability to maintain proper water quality for boiler water, condensate, water softeners and cooling towers to ensure that water is within proper limits to prevent damage to Power Plant equipment is of vital importance.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintaining the Power Plant building and all equipment in prime condition, which promotes a clean and safe work environment that prevents personal injury and equipment damage, is required.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Operating a wide variety of Power Plant equipment such as boilers, chilled water air conditioning equipment, pumps, air compressors and diesel-electric generators for the provision of utilities necessary for hospital operations is expected.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assuming full responsibility for plant operations during evening and weekend/holiday shifts is essential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>High School diploma or equivalent and apprentice training as a stationary engineer.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience</strong>: 2 years of experience as a stationary engineer in a large power plant equipped with high pressure steam boilers, commercial air conditioning equipment and electrical generator systems.</li>\n</ul>",
