Incomplete Applications will not be forwarded for review. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\">Summary/Objective:</span><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"><br>The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently work as part of our paving operations team. The construction laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects. This individual will be responsible for placing, raking, and luting material as needed. This individual will also be expected to run the screw and grade system on an asphalt paver.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\"> <br>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Knowledge of asphalt paving operations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Ability to hold grade and understand cross slopes </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Prior to every use, evaluate the equipment and confirm that the equipment from a mechanical and safety standpoint is ready to use.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Follow safety procedures and participate in weekly toolbox meetings with asphalt crew.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Maintaining a clean and presentable work environment at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Perform proper daily cleanout as per the company procedure.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Follow the dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">Travel is mandatory and overnight travel may be expected.  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\">EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">3 -5 years of experience needed. This position should have extensive knowledge of paving operations, equipment, quality control measures, and standard procedures. The position must have the ability to perform basic math skills and follow written and verbal instructions and relay them to the asphalt crew. Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction is a must. OSHA 10 and Valid Driver License Required. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibility:</span><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"><br>This position has no supervisory responsibilities.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\">Work Environment:</span><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"><br>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'; font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands:</span><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"><br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Albert Sans'\">The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
