In this role, you will be responsible for providing design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks, planning and implementing upgrades, as well as analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software solutions through network modeling.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>JOB DUTIES:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The Tier 2 network field technician will be actively involved in the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices, responding to and resolving incident tickets.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Provide essential support to Tier 3 network engineers for incident management and projects, including site surveys, coordination, and installation of new equipment.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades, performing configuration management functions such as updating topology drawings and ensuring accurate asset management records and inventory.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Demonstrate expertise in Layer 1 and Layer 2 network operations.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching, including VLANs.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Possess knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade, and Foundry OS.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Be familiar (not necessarily an SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE. Also, be acquainted with Visio and Service Now.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong>:</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">A minimum of 10 years of related/relevant work experience, which can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years of experience, a Masters and 4 years, a Bachelor&rsquo;s and 6 years, an Associates and 8 years, or a High School diploma and 10 years.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification requirements.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI, with CI Poly.</span></p>\n    </div>\n  \n",
