    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Peraton is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer in the Washington DC Metro area. This role will be a remote position.  At times the role will also require travel to the Quantico client site when necessary. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>What you'll do:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Join an Shared Services Team that provides development and sustainment functions for an enterprise </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate within development team and at times across functional teams to support mission-focused development </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support application defect testing and resolution </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Resolve customer issues related to Java/React development </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Confirm mitigations are captured in the design and its documentation and validate implementation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Create customized Flows and Action forms to align with business requirements </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support testing and debugging, identifies risks and perform steps to mitigate risks or defects </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviews and prioritizes customer requirements and ensures that identity and access management as well as cyber requirements are met – to ensure work continues across the program.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Works closely with the customer by providing analysis and advice on approaches to meeting technical requirements.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops standards and methodology consistent with technical requirements.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedules staff to obtain proper response in a timely manner.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviews recommendations for systems improvement.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide support to an operational team to troubleshoot, resolve, test and validate solution with customer interaction </li>\n <li>Work with evolving enterprise team to resolve trouble tickets </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>What you'll need:  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD, in lieu of degree, 12 years of applicable experience will be acceptable. </li>\n <li>Experience leading the design, development, and sustainment of secure software development environments spanning the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), integrating DevSecOps, Agile, CI/CD pipelines, and automated security controls to accelerate secure software delivery.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of NIST 600-53 RMF   </li>\n <li>Requires in-depth experience with privileged user management, access management, API Gateway, cyber, and SAFe agile methodology.   </li>\n <li>Exposure to ITSM Tools (Remedy, Service Now, JIRA Help Desk etc) </li>\n <li>Exposure to web services (SOAP, RESTful, XML, JSON, etc.)  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, system development life cycle and project management frameworks  </li>\n <li>Security+ or ability to obtain one in 30 days of joining Peraton </li>\n <li>U.S. Citizen</li>\n <li>Requires TS/SCI clearance  </li>\n <li>Local to MD/DC/VA</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
