          "text": "<p>The <strong>Project Director</strong> leads Chandos’ construction delivery for a portfolio of assigned projects, directly and through a team of project managers. This role is accountable for full lifecycle delivery - from preconstruction and bidding through construction and close‑out - while building client relationships, supporting business development, and developing high‑performing project teams. The Project Director ensures projects meet schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction objectives and embeds continuous improvement across teams.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Lead, coach, mentor, and develop multiple project teams <em>including Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and support staff. Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within and across teams.</em></li><li><strong>Resource Planning:</strong> Determine and secure all resources required to meet project commitments.</li><li><strong>Preconstruction and Bidding:</strong> <em>Guide the team in the structure and delivery of project bids, budgeting, and other pre-construction services.</em></li><li><strong>Client Relationship Management:</strong> Manage client relationships post‑award to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.</li><li><strong>Project Execution:</strong> Align and maintain the Project Execution Plan with corporate goals; oversee goals, risks, assumptions, budgets, staffing, responsibility matrix, WBS, milestones, and deliverables.</li><li><strong>Contract and Commercial Management:</strong> <em>Manage contract oversight, strategy and risk analysis for delivery models such as Design-Bid-Build, Construction Management, Progressive Design Build, and Integrated Project Delivery.</em></li><li><strong>Scheduling and Logistics:</strong> Develop construction sequencing, site logistics, and methodologies to optimize safety, productivity, and schedule.</li><li><strong>Financial Management:</strong> Drive process around project forecasting and financial reporting; ensure accurate forecasts are developed, risks are understood and mitigated, and development financial strategies with the team &amp; district.</li><li><strong>Risk and Opportunity Management:</strong> Identify and mitigate project risks and capture opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li><strong>Safety and Continuous Improvement:</strong> Champion a safety culture aligned with corporate values and safety best practices; standardize lessons learned and continuous improvement.</li><li><strong>Business Development Support:</strong> <em>Oversee the development and success of pursuits, proposals, project interviews, and client presentations to grow the business. Engage in business development activities within existing and new client bases, in coordination with the VP and Business Development Directors.</em></li><li><strong>Stakeholder Relations:</strong> Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to secure repeat business and referrals.</li><li><strong><em>Other Role Contributions:</em></strong><em> Promote, align with, and add value to the Chandos corporate strategic vision.
