    "description": "<p>Join Bloedel Reserve as part of the team that welcomes guests to one of the Pacific Northwest’s most celebrated public gardens. Guest Services Associates serve as front line ambassadors for the Reserve, helping create a warm, organized, and memorable arrival experience for every guest. This role supports admissions, membership and retail sales, phone and email inquiries, and day to day guest needs in and around the Gatehouse.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking for friendly, dependable team members who enjoy working with people, stay calm in a fast paced environment, and take pride in delivering excellent service. Training is provided. This position is supervised by the Guest Services Manager and works closely with the broader Operations team. We are open six days a week and have 16-25 hours per week available.  <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">We are seeking three (3) seasonal hires to work part time through the end of August.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Be a part of a great team! </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome guests and members with warmth, professionalism, and clear orientation to the property, programs, events, and daily offerings</li>\n<li>Provide exceptional customer service that helps every guest feel informed, comfortable, and eager to return</li>\n<li>Process admissions, membership, program, and retail sales accurately and efficiently using ticketing and point of sale systems</li>\n<li>Answer phones and assist with guest questions related to visits, reservations, programs, events, and general policies</li>\n<li>Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting Gatehouse and shop environment</li>\n<li>Support guest flow during busy days, special programs, and events</li>\n<li>Address routine guest questions and minor concerns with professionalism and good judgment, and communicate more complex issues promptly to the appropriate manager</li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with Guest Services team members, volunteers, and staff across departments to support a smooth and welcoming guest experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, including guests, members, volunteers, staff, board members, and special guests</li>\n<li>A warm, professional, and dependable approach to guest facing work</li>\n<li>Comfort with computers and technology, and a willingness to learn new systems and software</li>\n<li>Experience with cash handling, point of sale systems, or customer transactions preferred</li>\n<li>Ability to stay organized, flexible, and composed in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team</li>\n<li>Weekend availability required; additional flexibility is a plus</li>\n<li>Interest in public gardens, hospitality, arts and culture, or guest experience work is welcomed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive starting wage of $17.75 to $18.50 per hour, depending on experience</li>\n<li>Vacation, sick leave, and personal holiday time off</li>\n<li>401(k) participation and, after one year, eligibility for a 5% discretionary employer match</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Diversity &amp; Inclusion</span></p>\n<p>Bloedel Reserve is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive workplace.
