We&#39;ve grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as &quot;Culinary Ambassador&quot; promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 7,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment and supplies.&nbsp;</p><p>We are looking for experienced warehouse associate. In this important role, you will be responsible for performing warehouse functions. You will work in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that continuous progress is highly regarded.</p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong><br>All paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees and their dependents</p><p>Life Insurance and 401k Plan with company match</p><p>Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Honolulu, HI</p><p><strong>Hours: 7</strong>AM - 4PM</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list.</li><li>Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely assembling.</li><li>Document, record, and complete driver log when making deliveries.</li><li>Stack and organize warehouse pallets.</li><li>Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner.</li><li>Accurately stock inventory in the assigned warehouse location and rotate product inventory to maintain a First-IN, First-OUT (FIFO) food storage system.</li><li>Partake in warehouse upkeep and ensure the stockroom and freezer is clean and organized.</li><li>Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.</li><li>Adhere to Company attendance policies and designated work schedule to keep consistent and reliable attendance.</li><li>Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings.</li><li>Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.</li><li>Other duties as required from manager.</li><li>Obligation to answer to all management as requested.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Able to work without sitting for extended periods of time, including standing and walking.</li><li>Ability to talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.</li><li>Ability to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently.</li><li>Specific vision abilities are required, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and maintain clarity.</li><li>Working Conditions<ol><li>Noise Level: Loud while indoors</li><li>Required to wear company provided insulated freezer suit while in freezer</li><li>Freezing temperatures between -5 and -20 degrees Fahrenheit&nbsp;</li></ol></li></ul><p><br><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Basic level English &ndash; Read/write/speak/listen.</li><li>Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed.</li><li>Must be able to drive a stand-up reach forklift and sit-down forklift.</li><li>Maintain a positive attitude.</li><li>Work efficiently both independently and in a team.</li><li>Adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.</li><li>High School Diploma required.</li><li>2+ years of warehouse or relevant experience a plus</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge and Skills</strong></p><ul id=\"isPasted\"><li>Basic mathematical knowledge &ndash; combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, weight, etc.</li><li>Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Experience with operational equipment (e.g. forklifts, RF scanners) preferred.</li><li>Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors a plus</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Disclaimers</p><p>This position description is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
