About the Role Deel's People Technology team sits at the intersection of the people and product teams — we don't just configure tools, we build internal systems and automations that power how thousands of Deelers get hired, onboarded, paid, developed, and supported. As Deel scales rapidly across 150+ countries, the complexity of our people operations grows faster than headcount ever could. Manual processes don't scale. Disconnected systems create risk. And the cost of bad data compounds. That's where this role comes in. We're looking for a Senior People Systems Analyst — Automations to join as a core builder on the team. This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. You'll be directly shaping how Deel's internal HR product and tools evolve — designing the automation layer that connects our people systems, eliminates manual work, and ensures data flows cleanly between platforms. You'll work hands-on with tools like Deel, Zapier, Jira, Multiple AI tools, and our own internal systems — but the real work is translating messy, human processes into reliable, scalable workflows. You'll partner with People, Finance, and other teams to identify what's broken, design what's better, and build it yourself. What You’ll Do Act as a subject matter expert for our automation and integration tools (Deel, AKAI, Zapier, Jira, and others), as well as their connection to People processes. Partner with People, Finance, Product, and other teams to design, build, test, and deploy new automations and integrations. Serve as a trusted advisor and problem-solver for stakeholders, balancing technical solutions with business needs. Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance user experience. Document and deliver training, support, and communication for new automations and process changes to the people team. Lead and participate in automation-focused projects, including new tool rollouts, workflow audits, and integration enhancements. Partner closely with internal teams to build automation bridges between legacy systems and Deel’s proprietary solutions, ensuring data integrity and a smooth user experience. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in a systems or operations role with a strong focus on building and maintaining automations using low-code/no-code platforms Must-have: Advanced, hands-on experience with tools like Zapier (multi-step zaps, paths, filters), Jira workflow automation (including JQL and workflow configuration), Claude co-work and other tools Nice-to-have: HRIS / iPaaS experience (e.g., Workday, Deel, Workato, Greenhouse) Broad automation technology knowledge, including API-based integrations, webhooks, data mapping, and reporting. Familiarity with people processes such as onboarding, performance, compensation cycles, and compliance. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail, but also the ability to see the broader picture. Excellent communication and people skills — able to translate technical topics into clear business language. Adaptability and a team-player mindset — thrives in dynamic and evolving environments. Experience working in a global company is a plus. Bonus: experience with scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript), HRIS administration, or supporting transitions between people platforms.
