Overview #LI-NB1 *This position will be an onsite role based out of Northern California The Senior Director of Rehabilitation - SL (Sr. DOR) is responsible for establishing and overseeing clinical, operational, and financial performance across multiple senior living communities within an assigned geographic market. Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Operations (RDO) and Regional Vice President (RVP), the Sr. DOR leads teams to achieve financial goals, high-quality clinical outcomes, strong Team Member engagement, and exceptional customer service. The Sr. DOR maintains professional conduct and positive working relationships with communities and partners, represents Living Rehab / Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service, and ensures compliance with all company policies, resident care standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Reliant Rehabilitation provides excellent benefits that include: • 401K Match • Maternity and Paternity Support• Paid State Licensure• Employee Discount Program• Robust PTO Plans Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manages staffing, scheduling, and caseloads to ensure efficient service delivery and meet community program needs across assigned communities. Directs the provision of quality resident care and, as appropriate, provides resident care within scope of practice while supporting staff development. Ensures compliance with Living Rehab / Reliant Rehabilitation policies, resident care standards, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Serves as a clinical resource and conducts routine clinical and compliance audits in assigned and adjacent areas as delegated. Oversees caseload management within assigned territory. This includes, but not limited to, resident screening, performing standardized tests, and implementation of clinical programs. Reviews and analyzes community Facility Level Margin reports (FLM) and manages labor costs, including oversight of new community start-ups. Communicate with community staff and referral sources to obtain clinical information on new resident move-ins. Develops, implements, and oversees corrective plans of action to address risks, deficiencies, or findings identified through audits or compliance investigations. Builds and maintains strong customer and community relationships, managing day-to-day issues and ensuring satisfactory resolution. Plans, coordinates, and delivers staff training, in-services, and development opportunities, including education on corporate initiatives. Coordination of opening new sites. This includes coordinating staff, supplies, and materials needed to be on site. Then being onsite during new community opening. Manages practice performance to meet or exceed financial objectives and participates in the development of financial goals. Provides leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and recognition to support staff engagement, performance, and retention. Implements and oversees ongoing documentation peer review processes within assigned communities. Creates, reviews, and analyzes standard weekly and monthly operational and clinical reports. Maintains confidentiality of company, community, and resident information always. Conducts self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner in accordance with the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct. Serves as Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) in designated communities when needed, as geography and business needs allow. Treats residents, provides therapy, wellness classes, etc. when not opening or auditing communities Attend all mandatory meetings, training sessions, and assignments as delegated. Comply with the position description and professional standards of the discipline associated with the current license. Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds of dead weight independently using appropriate biomechanical techniques. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) required. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience required, including at least three (3) years in resident care and one to two (1–2) years of successful clinical management experience. Senior Living experience preferred. Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc) Bacic Internet navigation skills Certificates and Licenses: Current, valid professional license meeting state regulatory board requirements in the assigned state. Must meet all additional regulatory standards required to practice. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises clinical and operational staff across multiple communities within the assigned geographic area, including training, scheduling, coaching, performance management, issue resolution, maintenance of personnel records, and assistance with disciplinary actions and terminations as appropriate.
