A Pest Specialist is a rewarding career where you can make a real impact and be a part of a supportive, professional team.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\">As a Pest Specialist you will provide pest control for residential homes and commercial establishments by identifying potential pest problems, conducting inspections, while designing and implementing control strategies to resolve all of a customer&#39;s pest control needs<em data-pasted=\"true\">.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Being prompt to scheduled appointments.</li><li>Inspect the property, determine problem, and implement the most effective solution.</li><li>Identify different species of&nbsp;roaches, rodents,&nbsp;ants,&nbsp;and other&nbsp;household&nbsp;pests</li><li>Operate&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain spraying&nbsp;equipment,&nbsp;bait gun,&nbsp;power&nbsp;fogger&nbsp;and other&nbsp;equipment for&nbsp;applying pesticides</li><li>Maintain knowledge&nbsp;of&nbsp;applicable&nbsp;laws,&nbsp;rules&nbsp;and&nbsp;regulations governing pesticide&nbsp;application.</li><li>Document/Record&nbsp;all information by filling out all&nbsp;company inspection forms, in accordance&nbsp;with Company procedures.</li><li>Effectively communicate&nbsp;with customers&nbsp;and office staff.</li><li>Thoroughly&nbsp;and&nbsp;efficiently gather&nbsp;customer&nbsp;information, access and fulfill customer&nbsp;needs,&nbsp;educate&nbsp;the&nbsp;customer&nbsp;where&nbsp;applicable&nbsp;in order&nbsp;to prevent future&nbsp;pest infestations</li><li>Participate&nbsp;in routine maintenance of&nbsp;Company vehicle&nbsp;and equipment.</li><li>Practice&nbsp;workplace&nbsp;safety procedures as&nbsp;outlined in the&nbsp;Company&#39;s&nbsp;Safety Manual.</li><li>Operate&nbsp;company vehicle&nbsp;in&nbsp;a&nbsp;safe&nbsp;and&nbsp;effective&nbsp;manner&nbsp;in order&nbsp;to minimize&nbsp;the&nbsp;risk of&nbsp;injury, property damage&nbsp;or&nbsp;loss of&nbsp;life.</li><li>Clean vehicles as scheduled&nbsp;and/or&nbsp;required.</li><li>Dress Professionally. Maintain&nbsp;company uniforms in neat&nbsp;and professional manner. Follow&nbsp;company dress&nbsp;code.</li><li>Communicate with Manager immediately if questions arise in the field concerning treatment protocols.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Able to identify common household pests and WDOs</li><li>Knowledge of proper treatment methods for pests</li><li>Knowledge of inspections requirements for WDOs and pest problems in residences and commercial establishments</li><li>Ability to perform recommended treatments</li><li>Knowledge of residential, commercial, and remodeling construction and building techniques</li><li>Comfortable wearing safety equipment including respirator, goggles, etc.</li><li>Comfortable in small, confined spaces (i.e. crawlspaces)</li><li>Able to safely operate a vehicle</li><li>Reading, legible &amp; accurate writing, and drawing</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Familiarity with all equipment used to execute treatments</li><li>Basic math skills</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess current Driver License in the state where you work and maintain a driving record consistent with company standards</li><li>High school degree or equivalent experience</li><li>Present a professional appearance including wearing an approved uniform</li><li>Able to work a 40-hour work week</li><li>Drug-free workplace</li><li>Able to pass a pre-employment background check</li></ul><p>Compensation</p><ul><li>Paid training provided at a competitive hourly rate.
