    "description": "<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<p><strong>SkillBridge (DoD) – CEI Inspector </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Locations: Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Michigan.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>***This training opportunity is unique to <strong>ONLY</strong> <strong>Active-Duty U.S. Military Members</strong> with formal approval from their command***</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SkillBridge Training Start Date:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Start dates are dependent on the qualified service member. Dates are able to be adjusted as necessary and will last approximately 12 weeks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This opportunity is for a CEI Inspector who will provide construction oversight on active roadway and bridge projects in the designated area. This position is intended to be a career-building opportunity as the successful candidate will be required to grow their CEI skills through a combination of hands-on and classroom training throughout the program. Successful candidates will also have opportunities for career growth in inspection, project management, client management, and business development. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>RS&H offers specific training in project management and client management, as well as general career growth training and mentorship. We are focused on developing your existing skills and fostering a teamwork approach in delivering construction management and oversight on various heavy civil transportation projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What you will do throughout the training program:</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>Once accepted/approved, the training program will commence by introducing participants to the core values and culture of RS&H. The training you will be able to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand construction plans</li>\n <li>Understand contractor payment procedures and processes</li>\n <li>Have an awareness of materials needs</li>\n <li>Understand contract documents</li>\n <li>Develop appropriate inspection plans</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Essential functions once hired as a full-time employee (FTE)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations, including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events that affect the work</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Monitor work zone traffic control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issues</li>\n  <li>Monitor the erosion control plan and identify discrepancies and potential issues</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work</li>\n <li>Verify the dimensions of prepared and completed work</li>\n <li>Inspect the construction work and conduct field tests</li>\n <li>Track/measure completed work quantities for payment</li>\n <li>Perform survey checks</li>\n <li>Completes all other tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active-Duty Service Member within 180 days of honorable separation</li>\n <li>Eligible/Approved for the DoD SkillBridge program</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record</li>\n <li>Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames</li>\n <li>Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods, under various outside conditions</li>\n <li>Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks</li>\n <li>Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection</li>\n <li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shake up to 20 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field from an ABET-accredited university</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications</li>\n <li>Army 12 Series MOS or similar </li>\n <li>Air Force AFSC 3E5X1 or similar </li>\n <li>Navy NOS H100, H110 or similar</li>\n <li>USMC MOS 1345, 1341 or similar</li>\n <li>Coast Guard ENG MOS or similar </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-SP1</p>\n<h2>The Team</h2>\n<p>While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984.
