    "description": "<p>***NO THIRD-PARTY AGENCIES/RECRUITERS***</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is currently seeking Lowboy Drivers to join our team. This will be a full time role. This position reports to the Shop Dispatcher.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you are a self-motivated individual with a desire to grow in your career, please read the responsibilities and qualifications for the position below.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Operate a tractor-trailer truck that transports construction equipment and cargo to and from specified destinations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential functions:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of oversized equipment to ensure timely service.</li>\n<li>Requires loading, securing, and unloading of construction equipment and or other cargo.</li>\n<li>Requires determining gross load weight, requesting permits when required, and determining route based on road restrictions and load weight.</li>\n<li>Maintains telephone contact with project manager and dispatcher to receive the delivery or pick-up instructions or to receive notice of schedule changes.</li>\n<li>Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.</li>\n<li>Perform light/routine maintenance (fueling, greasing, repairing, cleaning) and upkeep of truck, notify shop when more extensive repairs/maintenance is required.</li>\n<li>Recognize and report any abnormal equipment operating conditions</li>\n<li>Recognize and report any unsafe working conditions</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two years of driving experience.</li>\n<li>Heavy equipment experience.</li>\n<li>Experience driving a manual transmission.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOTE:  This position requires a CDL Class A License</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>A high school diploma or equivalent is desired but not required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical and Environmental aspects</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will need to be able to climb and descend steps/stairs and use handrails to enter/exit vehicles.</li>\n<li>The environment can be noisy at times. The employee will be exposed to dust and fumes from cleaners, gasoline, diesel, exhaust.</li>\n<li>Employees work outdoors, and will be exposed to the weather, including extremes in heat and cold, rain.</li>\n<li>Will be in a sitting position for long periods of time while driving and subject to the vibration of the equipment.</li>\n<li>Could bend, stoop, twist, and either stand or sit for long periods of time. Requires manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate the equipment controls, tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any applicant. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This can require the:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.</li>\n<li>Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.</li>\n<li>Ability to wear required personal protective equipment-vest, steel-toed boots, helmet.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and to effectively jump, sprint, or throw an object</li>\n<li>Good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.</li>\n<li>Ability to quickly move arms and legs.</li>\n<li>Will require the ability to sit for an extended period of time and the eye/hand/feet ability and coordination to operate a manual transmission and clutch in both trucks and any other equipment being driven.</li>\n<li>Able to climb stairs/ steps and to use handrails to climb and exit the equipment’s raised cab.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving and mechanical parts and equipment.</li>\n<li>The noise level in the work environment can be loud.</li>\n<li>An employee will be exposed to dust and fumes from cleaners, gasoline, diesel, exhaust, etc.</li>\n<li>Employees will work outdoors and will be exposed to the weather, including extremes in heat and cold, rain, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Other Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal Protective Equipment:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA and company policy. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position: Coveralls, Fall Protection, Gloves, Welding Gloves, Hard Hat, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Welding Aprons, Welding Helmet, Welding Shield.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">***We require all applicants to have a clean record in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
