      "description": "<p>Description</p><p>Housekeeping conveys quality and comfort by ensuring our facilities  are clean, sanitized and beautiful for patients, families, staff and  visitors. </p><p>Requirements</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: </p><p>· Complete cleaning  functions in assigned areas to maintain an attractive, sanitary and  orderly environment contributing to patient comfort, employee morale and  staff satisfaction </p><p>· Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms and public areas using approved cleaning agents and following company policy </p><p>· Follow all infection control and safety standards </p><p>· Initiate and support positive relations with patients and co-workers </p><p>· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment  </p><p>· Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly, including hazardous materials such as medical waste and infectious substances </p><p>· Report all aesthetic issues and damaged or broken equipment to director of facility services </p><p>· Replenish supplies on cleaning cart and in all assigned closets </p><p>· Deliver clean linens to closet </p><p>· Maintain all required housekeeping documentation </p><p>· Clean floors using care techniques of vacuuming; dry and damp mopping </p><p>· Collect parking lot trash </p><p>· Water plants during growing season </p><p>· Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing </p><p>· Maintain stock of coffee, coffee supplies, snacks for families </p><p>· Check and record temperatures in family refrigerator and other assigned areas daily </p><p>· Clean outdoor furniture, decks, and patio furniture  </p><p>· Assist with arranging flowers brought into the patient care unit </p><p>· Assist with carpet cleaning </p><p>· Assure all patient laundry is appropriately cleaned and restocked  </p><p>· Perform wall washing, window cleaning and hanging draperies </p><p>· Other duties as assigned </p><p><br/></p><p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  </p><p>· Knowledge of computer systems and software used  </p><p>· Knowledge of proper cleaning methods and chemical use </p><p>· Excellent attention to details, quality and cleanliness  </p><p>· Excellent time management skills </p><p>· Excellent customer service skills </p><p><br/></p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  </p><p>Education:  </p><p>· High School Diploma or equivalent  </p><p><br/></p><p>Experience:  </p><p>·  1 year previous housekeeping experience preferred </p><p><br/></p><p>Licensures & Certifications: (if applicable):  </p><p>·  None listed  </p><p><br/></p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  </p><p>·  Visual acuity to read written documentation and computer tasks </p><p>· Ability to sit extended periods of time and perform administrative tasks </p><p>·  Ability to stand, bend and lift an average of 30 pounds </p><p>·  Manual dexterity with the ability to manipulate office equipment and keyboard for extended periods of time </p><p>·  Ability to walk, squat, kneel, climb and balance </p><p><br/></p><p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  </p><p>·  Must have an automobile with required insurance coverage and state driver’s license </p><p>  </p><p>AMOREM is committed to promoting internal mobility and attracting qualified candidates.
