    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Digital Practice Group | Environmental Services | Stantec&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>About the Role</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>As a Senior Azure Infrastructure Specialist within Stantec's Digital Practice, you will serve as a key technical specialist for the design, delivery, and ongoing stewardship of Azure cloud infrastructure underpinning environmental services platforms,&nbsp;enterprise systems&nbsp;and&nbsp;digital transformation initiatives. You will be equally at home whiteboarding cloud architecture with stakeholders and rolling up your sleeves to implement, configure, troubleshoot and support environments.&nbsp;You won't hand off to someone else to build what you've designed, you will own it end to end.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>This is a hybrid architecture-and-delivery role, you are expected to lead design decisions and execute them hands-on, working alongside data engineers, application developers, technical specialists and business teams to drive consistent, secure, and scalable cloud outcomes.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Architecture &amp; Design</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Help lead the design and documentation of Azure cloud infrastructure solutions including within landing zones, networking, compute, storage, and identity patterns aligned to Stantec's enterprise governance framework&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Help define and maintain Azure architecture standards, reference architectures, and technical roadmaps for the Environmental Services Digital Practice&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Evaluate and recommend Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, serverless, etc) to support evolving data, integration, and application workloads&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Collaborate with security, networking, and data teams to ensure solutions are compliant with Stantec's cloud governance policies, including RBAC, policy-as-code (Azure Policy), and network segmentation, etc&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Implementation &amp; Engineering</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), including CI/CD pipeline integration via Azure DevOps&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provision, configure, test, and manage core platform services including:&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Networking:</strong>&nbsp;Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Application Gateways, Private Endpoints</li>\n <li><strong>Compute &amp; Hosting:</strong>&nbsp;Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), High-Performance Computing (HPC), App Services&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Data &amp; Storage:</strong>&nbsp;Azure SQL Database, ADLS Gen2, Storage Accounts, Databricks</li>\n <li><strong>Integration &amp; Automation:</strong>&nbsp;Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Security &amp; Identity:</strong>&nbsp;Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, Managed Identities, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Key Vaults&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>Observability &amp; DevOps:</strong>&nbsp;Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Manage infrastructure cost, performance, and capacity — including rightsizing, reserved instances, and cost allocation tagging strategies.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Operations &amp; Support</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide Tier 3 support and troubleshooting for Azure platform issues, including networking, identity, and compute failures&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and cost efficiency on an ongoing basis&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation&nbsp;and operational procedures&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Help lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related events&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Work closely with&nbsp;DCoE&nbsp;infrastructure specialists to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities promptly and refine solutions&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Innovation &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Stay current with Azure best practices, security standards, emerging services, and automation trends&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Recommend and implement improvements to enhance infrastructure capabilities, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Mentor and support other technical team members within the Digital Practice team&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contribute to knowledge sharing and process documentation across the team&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
