Field Measure Specialist
Greater Austin, TX Market
Remote with Local Travel | Company Vehicle Provided | Monday–Friday 8am-4:30pm
The Field Measure Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the order verification process for replacement window and door orders within an assigned territory. This role conducts both virtual and in‑person job site verifications, ensuring correct measurements, site readiness, and customer understanding prior to installation.
The primary focus of this position is to gather accurate job‑site and product requirements and clearly communicate Pella’s installation process, setting realistic expectations and delivering an exceptional homeowner experience. The role may also assist with installation recovery and minor service work as needed.
Pay & Compensation

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Execute the Order Verification process accurately and on time for assigned projects Possess full working knowledge of all aspects of the Order Verification process Perform virtual and on‑site job inspections, including accurate measurements Assess job sites for water intrusion, rot, mold, and other installation‑impacting conditions Confirm job‑site readiness and collaborate with homeowners to resolve concerns Clearly explain the Pella installation process and set realistic customer expectations Provide photos and documentation to support installations and recovery efforts Control project and recovery costs through proper verification and documentation Collaborate closely with sales teams and installers to ensure seamless order fulfillment Deliver missing job‑site items as needed to support first‑time installation completion Visit completed job sites to ensure installation meets manufacturing and installation guidelines Report installation concerns and quality issues to management Provide training support to Retail Sales Consultants as requested Perform minor service or installation tasks to enhance customer satisfaction Promote and enforce job‑site safety standards Maintain assigned company vehicle and comply with Fleet Safety Policy Demonstrate a consistent commitment to quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction Strive for 100% “Very Satisfied” customer ratings Skills & Knowledge
Strong construction and remodeling knowledge Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills Strong time‑management and organizational abilities Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and job environments Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Proficient with Microsoft Office, smart devices, and ability to learn internal systems Qualifications

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required AA or Technical degree preferred 1–3 years of related experience and/or training preferred Prior knowledge of general construction practices and window/door components required Hands‑on experience using power tools (e.g., drill, miter saw, circular saw, pneumatic nail gun) required Remodeling and/or window and door replacement experience is a plus Communication & Professional Skills
Ability to read and interpret contracts, drawings, and work documents Ability to write basic reports and business correspondence Ability to clearly present information and respond to questions from customers, coworkers, and leadership Professional presentation and adherence to company dress standards Reasoning & Mathematical Skills
Ability to solve practical, job‑related problems with limited standardization Ability to perform calculations using money, measurements, distance, and time Ability to read and calculate measurements using a standard ruler or tape measure, including fractions Physical Demands

"InternalResponsibilitiesStr": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>Responsibilities/Accountabilities include the following, but not limited to:</strong></span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Must be fully knowledgeable on all aspects of the Order Verification Process.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Responsible for the timely execution of the Order Verification process.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Communicates effectively with customers and serves as a professional Pella representative on all job-sites assigned to him/her. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Responsible for setting realistic expectations with the homeowner of what they can expect from the Pella Installation Process.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Must have knowledge and experience to take and record accurate measurements.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Performs job site inspections to assess home for water intrusion, rot, mold, and other issues. </span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Confirms job-site suitability for the install process and work with homeowner to resolve any discovered issues. Provides documentation and photos when applicable to assist installation teams.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Responsible for controlling cost of projects and recoveries.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Works with both the sales team and installers to ensure seamless order fulfillment</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Delivers missing items needed for installations to job sites to increase first time completion rate as needed</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Visits job sites to determine of the end result of the installations met manufacturing guidelines for installations and will report any concerns to their manager.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Provides training as needed to Retail Sales Consultants</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Ensures that prescribed job site safety rules are always followed during the order verification process.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Performs minor service or installation tasks to improve customer satisfaction and complete a job in a timely manner.</span></span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Demonstrates a personal commitment to the highest quality of work.</span></span></p></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Must have a valid driver’s license and be in compliance with company Fleet Safety Policy </span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Maintains assigned company vehicle</span></span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Skills/Knowledge:</span></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Strong construction knowledge</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Interpersonal skills</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Communication skills: written, verbal and listening</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Good time management and organizational skills</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Adaptability to daily changing situations</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Ability to multi-task</span></span></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Proficiency with Microsoft® Office and smart devices, and ability to learn internal software programs and applications. </span></span></p></li></ul>",
