Comprised of dedicated people and decades of manufacturing experience, we have continued to experience strong growth and currently have outstanding career opportunities for equally dedicated people.</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Summary:</strong> Improves the productivity, quality, and margins of the SMC Santa Rosa manufacturing facility through targeted implementation of automation, statistical process controls, product flow streamlining (lean manufacturing), and systems improvements.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Monitors and maintains preventative maintenance program through IQMS.</li><li>Performs and documents machine Preventative Maintenance.</li><li>Maintains adequate stock of parts and supplies needed for PM&rsquo;s.</li><li>Defines and sources components and equipment for repairs.</li><li>Uses hand and power tools in a safe manner.</li><li>Works in accordance to internal and external safety standards.</li><li>Conserves maintenance resources by using only what is needed at time of need.</li><li>Communicates with multiple departments in a professional manner.</li><li>Fabricates components for repair and improvements.</li><li>Adheres to standards and procedures of company and regulating bodies.</li><li>Operates a personal computer, utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum five years&rsquo; experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.&nbsp;</li><li>Hydraulic and Electrical proficiency.</li><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</li><li>Knowledgeable in differences of Metric vs Standard tools.</li><li>A candidate with adaptability to changing directives on a day-to-day basis.</li><li>Strong verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of staff.</li><li>Computer skills (Basic MS Outlook, Teams, MS Office) are important.</li><li>Knowledge of electrical safety practices are a must.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of AS in electronics.</li><li>Knowledge in ISO.</li><li>Bilingual is considered a plus, Spanish preferred.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>ADA Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time</li><li>Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently, or more occasionally</li><li>Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously</li><li>Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection</li><li>Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\">&nbsp;<strong>What SMC has to offer?</strong></p><ul><li>Clean, Climate-Controlled Environment</li><li>Stable schedule&nbsp;</li><li>Paid holiday and PTO</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) retirement savings</li><li>Life and disability insurance</li><li>Promotional opportunities</li><li>Training and career growth programs</li><li>Amazing co-workers</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Employee Assistance Program&nbsp;</li></ul><p><em>We are committed to fair and equitable hiring with salaries based on relevant factors, such as work experience, education, and certifications.
