We are looking for an experienced game developer to join us as we update our portfolio of Microsoft Casual Games.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>You will be responsible for client development and feature implementation throughout an existing C# code base. You will work closely with our team to work on a variety of game clients spanning mobile, desktop, and console-based platforms on a range of touch and keyboard-based devices. Because we are a small team, we are looking for individuals that can do more than just “write code.” We want self-motivated individuals that are excited to dream, design, code and support great new features in the world of casual gaming. </p><p><b>As a member of the Microsoft Casual Games Team you will:</b></p><p><b></b></p><ul><li>Develop implementation plans for new game features on the client, according to functional requirements &amp; feature specifications</li><li>Help write functional requirement and specifications</li><li>Consult on a regular basis with project leadership to align expectations and deliverables</li><li>Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers to deliver new experiences, tools, and new features as they relate to acquiring, retaining and reacquiring players- and then coding and delivering them.</li><li>Develop features and code spanning multiple game clients and shared libraries across multiple titles</li><li>Document code for portability and future development</li><li>Multitask between features, platforms and projects fluidly</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications and skills</b></p><p><b></b></p><ul><li>Existing, experienced developers only, please! We are a very small team and cannot afford to attempt discipline changes or provide training</li><li>Experience as a system, feature or client developer for multiple C# or C++ games</li><li>A good understanding of optimizing and finishing games</li><li>A passion for games and gaming, specifically casual games</li><li>Strongly motivated and excited by working on a small nimble teams, with ability to work both independently and in conjunction with other team members</li><li>5+ years of professional programming experience</li><li>5+ years C# and C++ experience/</li><li>BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience</li></ul><p><b>Bonus Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Experience with Windows Store apps and WinRT</li><li>Experience with XAML</li><li>Experience with Xbox LIVE services</li></ul><p>Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
