    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: </span>Auckland, Hamilton or Tauranga</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Join a high-performing national corporate team working on complex, high-value transactions across New Zealand.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">At Tompkins Wake, our Corporate team is experiencing strong growth, and we are looking to appoint one or two talented lawyers at Associate and/or Senior Associate level. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This is an excellent opportunity to join a team delivering high-quality, complex work across a diverse range of sectors.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You’ll be part of a collaborative and well-regarded Corporate team advising on a broad mix of matters, with a particular emphasis on:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Mergers &amp; acquisitions (M&amp;A) and business sales/purchases</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Corporate structuring, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Commercial contracting and strategic advisory work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Private capital, growth businesses and investment transactions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Working with clients across key sectors including agribusiness, infrastructure, and high-growth enterprises</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You will have the opportunity to take ownership of work appropriate to your level, while being supported by experienced Partners and senior lawyers across our national offices.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About you</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">We are interested in lawyers who bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">5+ years’ PQE (flexible for the right candidate across Associate to Senior Associate level)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong experience in corporate law, particularly M&amp;A</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Sound commercial judgement and a solutions-focused mindset</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Excellent drafting, negotiation and client relationship skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to a high-performing team</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Exposure to complex transactions, private equity, or cross-border matters will be advantageous.</span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">About Us</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">We are an award-winning law firm with offices in Hamilton, Auckland, Rotorua, and Tauranga.
