The Opportunity: Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is adding a Senior Electrical Engineer to our team in Los Angeles, CA. Position Summary: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take on a key leadership role, guiding the electrical discipline within the office while mentoring a high-performing engineering team. You will drive technical excellence, project success, and team development across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial buildings. Your ability to ensure quality control, optimize project execution, and enhance technical standards will have a lasting impact on our team and clients. Essential Job Functions: The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions: · Support and provide leadership for the electrical discipline within the office. · Mentor and develop department staff, fostering career growth through structured development plans. · Be a local supervisor to staff. · Ensure adherence to firm QA/QC protocols and maintain technical excellence. · Collaborate with Project Managers on budgeting, scheduling, and staff management. · Oversee, plan, and design electrical systems for all types of projects including but not limited to: healthcare, education, laboratories, institutional high-rise and commercial buildings. · Act as the Engineer of Record, leading technical communication with clients. · Work with internal and external team members including architects, consultants, code officials and contractors. · Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring a strong engineering team. · Support and refine Glumac’s technical standards, implementing best practices in the local office. · Provide feedback on technical standards implementation and suggest improvements. · Track training opportunities and recommend professional development initiatives. · Ability to write proposals for new projects. · Participate in activities and organizations related to our industry, develop peer relationships, technical growth and business contacts. Required Qualifications: · 10+ years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems. · Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. · Current Professional Engineering (PE) license is required. · Working experience with building and electrical codes. · Experience managing staff as a direct supervisor. · Revit experience. Preferred Qualifications: · Strong background in sustainable design is highly desirable. · LEED AP BD+C accreditation. · WELL certification. Work Environment and Location: This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in our Los Angeles , CA office. All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S. Compensation: Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 (depending on experience) The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications.
