Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Collects pertinent medical information and reviews physician’s order to identify reason for examination and potential contraindications.</p>\n<p>Explains procedure and positions patient.</p>\n<p>Selects proper technical factors and runs transducer over designated area of body.</p>\n<p>Observes image and modifies equipment parameters as necessary to obtain optimal image.</p>\n<p>May freeze and print frame.  Reviews record to ensure correct anatomy is visualized.</p>\n<p>Assembles records for interpretation by physician.</p>\n<p>Performs minor maintenance and repairs on ultrasound equipment.  Refers major problems to appropriate supervisor.</p>\n<p>Assists in orienting and training personnel.</p>\n<p>Enters patient charges into computer system.</p>\n<p>Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.  </p>\n<p>Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to Manager.</p>\n<p>Utilizes skilled judgment and diagnostic criteria to accurately identify and differentiate normal versus abnormal findings.</p>\n<p>Performs arterial evaluations to determine the presence, localization and extent of arterial sclerosis/stenosis with regard to circulation utilizing Doppler ultrasound, and/or color duplex ultrasound imaging.</p>\n<p>Performs venous evaluations to determine the presence of deep venous obstruction (thrombus) and venous valvular incompetence utilizing Doppler ultrasound and color duplex ultrasound imaging.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ARDMS</strong> <strong>certification and current</strong> <strong>BREAST (BR) REGISTRATION</strong></p>\n<p> <strong>or</strong></p>\n<p><strong>ARRT</strong> <strong>post-primary certification and</strong> <strong>BREAST SONOGRAPHY REGISTRATION</strong> </p>\n<p> <strong>or</strong></p>\n<p><strong>ARRT Sonography (S)</strong> certification <strong>and current registration and MQSA qualified</strong></p>\n<p><strong>PLUS</strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>5 CEUs</em></strong> specific to breast ultrasound </p>\n<p>Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (BLS/CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Experience</strong></p>\n<p>Regular performance of breast ultrasound exams</p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Education </strong></p>\n<p> Registered Technologists</p>\n<ul>\n <li>In compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services </li>\n <li>CE includes credits pertinent to the technologist’s ACR accredited clinical practice</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>As needed between Mon-Fri 8am-4:30PM\n<h2>Weekend Requirements:</h2>No\n<h2>On-Call Requirements:</h2>No",
