This role collaborates with healthcare providers to support efficient operations and optimal patient care.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring reproducible and diagnostic-quality images while adhering to positioning guidelines and departmental standards.</li><li>Practices radiation safety principles in accordance with ALARA guidelines and participates in the Image Gently and Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.</li><li>Prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders, confirms patient identity using two identifiers, and explains procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.</li><li>Demonstrates population-appropriate competencies for all relevant patient demographics.</li><li>Cleans and maintains imaging equipment and modalities in compliance with infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and organized environment for patients and staff.</li><li>Ensures the availability and proper organization of supplies and equipment needed for patient care.</li><li>Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections when performing CT or MRI procedures, following departmental policies.</li><li>Scans and verifies all associated documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation, ensuring proper documentation.</li><li>Communicates effectively with peers, staff, physicians, leaders, and administration to support seamless patient care delivery.</li><li>Identifies and mitigates artifacts in images, ensuring optimal image quality.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist required</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.</li><li>Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and troubleshooting technical issues.</li><li>Excellent patient-care and communication skills to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize imaging abnormalities and artifacts.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and radiology information systems (RIS).</li><li>Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in operating and maintaining radiology equipment.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.</li><li>Understanding of radiation safety and infection control protocols.</li><li>Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate imaging and documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses and Certifications</strong></p><ul><li>ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required</li><li>Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required</li><li>BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>INDSURGIMG</p>",
