    "description": "<p><strong>Camp Season - Summer 2026</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong><br />\r\nPlans, coordinates, and leads arts and crafts activities and programs at camp; maintains all arts &amp; crafts materials and supplies. Ensures quality and cleanliness of supplies &amp; assigned area. Trains camp staff to lead, chaperone, and monitor arts &amp; crafts activities and ensures safety and a positive experience for campers.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Plans, coordinates, and participates in a variety of arts and craft activities for the campers; organizes activities and promotes participation.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Monitors the arts and crafts activities to ensure the safety of participants; instructs campers and staff in proper methods for operating tools; monitors and directs behavior at all times to ensure compliance with camp rules.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Assists counselors in developing art kits for use by cabins. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains accountability and inventory of all arts and craft tools, materials, and supplies; orders or purchases needed supplies and materials as approved. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Ensures the arts and crafts area and supplies are clean and free from debris at all times. Identifies potential hazards and responds appropriately and in a timely manner. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Secures and locks all arts/crafts equipment and supplies after each session. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines as well as American Camp Association accreditation standards. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Trains other camp staff to lead, chaperone, and monitor arts and crafts activities.</li>\r\n\t<li>Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Sits with camper tables during meals and serves as a table monitor when needed.</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform as necessary ministry functions such as presenting approved devotional material to campers, praying with a camper, or leading in Christian songs, etc.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Be available to participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director.</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Ability to meet attendance requirements. &nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.</li>\r\n\t<li>Some physical requirements of the Camp Arts &amp; Crafts Specialist position include endurance, which involves activities such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate arts/crafts equipment and activities are required.</li>\r\n\t<li>Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.&nbsp;</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program at the available facility. &nbsp;Operate in daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.&nbsp;</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
