    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Looking for a lab technician to assist with the LPE (Liquid Phase Epitaxy) process of film growth in our Hillsborough, NJ location. Shift D (Night Shift 12hrs): Wednesday to Sunday, alternating Wednesdays off, approximate times of 5:30pm to 6:00am with 15% Shift differential. &nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>KEY FUNCTIONS OF JOB</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Recording and monitoring temperatures of furnaces</li>\n <li>Weighing chemicals for additions and new melts</li>\n <li>Mounting and etching substrates</li>\n <li>Loading and dipping wafers into furnaces</li>\n <li>Programming and terminating growth cycles</li>\n <li>Measuring weight/thickness/warp of wafers accurately</li>\n <li>Performing some data analysis</li>\n <li>Prepping furnaces for new melts</li>\n <li>Entering data using Access</li>\n <li>Minor troubleshooting of furnace system/software</li>\n <li>Handling of acids</li>\n <li>Support other production processes as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>JOB REQUIREMENTS</u></b></p>\n<p><i><b><u>Education:</u></b></i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Preferred: Associate degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i><b><u>Experience:</u></b></i></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a technical, scientific, or mechanical field.</li>\n <li>Experience working in a laboratory environment and following good lab practices.</li>\n <li>Experience working with precision measurement methods and systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems.</li>\n <li>Intermediate or higher level with Excel, Word, and Access.</li>\n <li>Experience with Oracle is a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers is a plus.</li>\n <li>Comfortable working with chemicals, acids, and a high temperature environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Demonstrate the ability to read and follow directions while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>Safety Requirements</u></b></p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
