    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Responsible for monitoring installations ensuring work is performed according to Company standards and the contract; Company’s crews are used efficiently and properly; and work with the foreman in managing portions of the project and employees. Responsible for the following activities: productivity, safety, quality control, scheduling, procurement of materials, and any other activity impacting the successful completion of the project. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand your assigned portion of the project thoroughly.</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with foreman and crew.</li>\n <li>Be courteous and cordial to our customers.</li>\n <li>Assure all work performed meets with all NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes.</li>\n <li>Assure the proper materials are on site to perform the required work.</li>\n <li>Assure material ordered was received.</li>\n <li>Assure productivity by effectively managing your crew and your time.</li>\n <li>Establish high performance and quality standards.</li>\n <li>Establish project goals and monitor success in reaching those goals on an ongoing basis.</li>\n <li>Utilize the Prefab shop to the fullest extent.</li>\n <li>Anticipate potential problems and take action before they become real problems.</li>\n <li>Be an enthusiastic and motivating leader.</li>\n <li>Assure your crew starts on time each day.</li>\n <li>Maintain 10-minute rest break and 30-minute lunch break as legally required.</li>\n <li>Maintain complete and accurate “as-builts”(on a daily or weekly basis).</li>\n <li>Understand and implement Bergelectric’s Employee Handbook</li>\n <li>Implement Bergelectric’s safety policies and procedures and ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.</li>\n <li>Is a team player – a positive, well-organized, proactive force to support profit and growth of the Company.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an electrical construction apprentice program or holder of a valid state electrician license/certification or 4 years field experience as a journeyman electrician, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of the industry including knowledge of electrical codes and installation methods.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions verbally and/or in writing from foreman and crew.</li>\n <li>Understanding of the basic laws of electricity and electrical systems</li>\n <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to prioritize, organize, and project future issues. Must be resourceful and have the ability to analyze and resolve problems quickly.</li>\n <li>Ability to read technical instructions and interpret electrical drawings.</li>\n <li>Ability to do basic mathematics and use of electrical formulas.</li>\n <li>Ability to see details and compare details in objects.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of and the ability to use industry tools and equipment productively and safely.</li>\n <li>Basic mechanical skills</li>\n <li>Ability to visualize and sketch an electrical layout.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lift 50 lbs. from the ground and pull 50 lbs. of force.</li>\n <li>Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling and conduit pulling.</li>\n <li>Fully squat, stoop or kneel while wearing a 25 lbs. tool belt.</li>\n <li>Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions such as grasping or manipulating wires.</li>\n <li>Work off ladders, man lifts or reach booms.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Working Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A variety of weather conditions including cold, snow, rain, heat, etc. </li>\n <li>High noise levels </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>Bergelectric is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k retirement plan with employer matching.</p>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p><em>The information contained in the job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is not an exhaustive list of duties performed by this position.
