We are flexible on start time, if needed along with extra hours to be earned on the weekends, if applicable.</p>\n<p>The <strong><em>Dispatcher II</em></strong> is responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight.</li>\n <li>Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into MyAIT & AS400 tracking system – pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery.</li>\n <li>Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints.</li>\n <li>Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly.</li>\n <li>Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.</li>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.</li>\n <li>The wage range for this position is $27.40-$38.70 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A team player who works well with others – being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value</li>\n <li>A strong work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your role</li>\n <li>Growth mindset – being passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, being open to change and doing things differently</li>\n <li>Customer service focus – we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our culture</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Skills We Hope to See:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma/GED equivalency required; Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.</li>\n <li>3-5 years in Freight Forwarding industry experience preferred and/or industry experience in customer service/operations</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office</li>\n <li>Previous Experience working with AS400 preferred.</li>\n <li>Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills with abilities to develop new ideas and innovative solutions.</li>\n <li>High attention to details and organization.</li>\n <li>Strong geographic and mapping skills. Sense of direction and coordination to build routes.</li>\n <li>Great interpersonal and communication skills with customers, drivers, and co-workers—communication is key!</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>\n<p>In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
