This role partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to develop insights that improve pricing accuracy, underwriting performance, claims efficiency, and overall risk management.\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Work Location</h2>\n<p>This position offers both remote and hybrid work locations.  Candidates who reside within 50 miles of an office location (West Bend, Madison, Appleton) will be offered a hybrid work schedule.  Candidates who are fully remote (beyond 50 miles) may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and corporate events. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain <strong>predictive models, algorithms, and analytical solutions</strong> supporting pricing, underwriting, claims, and other P&C insurance functions</li>\n <li>Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities</li>\n <li>Translate business and strategic objectives into clear analytics, reporting, and data requirements</li>\n <li>Analyze large, complex datasets (structured and unstructured) using SQL, Python, Spark, or similar tools</li>\n <li>Document, present, and explain modeling methodologies and results for business partners and regulatory review</li>\n <li>Identify, evaluate, and integrate internal and external data sources to meet business needs</li>\n <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, production-ready analytical solutions</li>\n <li>Promote analytics best practices and provide consultation on data-driven initiatives</li>\n <li>Evaluate third-party data, models, and analytical tools in partnership with vendors</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Required / Preferred Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>6+ years</strong> of advanced analytics, data science, or predictive modeling experience</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of Property & Casualty insurance experience (strongly preferred in <strong>commercial P&C pricing</strong>, rating, or risk-tiering models)</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of P&C insurance data, data sources, and business processes</li>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>Python, R, SAS</strong>, or similar statistical programming languages (experience with at least two preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience working with large datasets using <strong>SQL, Spark</strong>, or cloud-based data platforms</li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>MLOps</strong> and machine learning platforms such as <strong>Databricks, Snowflake, Dataiku</strong>, or similar</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytics to business audiences</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, analytical, and collaborative mindset</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Education & Credentials (Preferred)</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree or equivalent experience in <strong>Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research</strong>, or a related field</li>\n <li>P&C insurance credentials such as <strong>ACAS, FCAS, CPCU, or CSPA</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Why Join Us</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on high-impact analytics that directly influence pricing, underwriting, and risk decisions</li>\n <li>Collaborate with experienced analytics and insurance professionals</li>\n <li>Flexible work options (remote, hybrid, or office-based depending on location)</li>\n <li>Competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-BW1</p>\n<h2>Salary Statement</h2>\n<p>The salary range for this position is $140,000-$180,000.   </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.  </p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>West Bend offers a comprehensive benefit plan including but not limited to:   </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical & Prescription Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Health Savings Account  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Dental Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Vision Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Short and Long Term Disability  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Life and Accidental Death & Disability   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Accident and Critical Illness Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Plan with Company Match  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Pet Insurance  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Time Off.
