You value clean, well-tested production code and communicate effectively in a global, distributed team environment.</p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Work embedded within a team of engineers developing consumer payment systems.</li><li>Contribute to multiple projects focused on improving system scalability and resilience.</li><li>Break down larger initiatives into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases with support from the team&#8217;s tech lead and manager.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of assigned work.</li><li>Support peers and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle by collaborating with Product Management, Design, and Analytics.</li><li>Participate in ideation activities, articulate technical constraints, and partner on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.</li><li>Support the operations and availability of team-owned artifacts through ad-hoc development efforts that assist on-call support.</li><li>Work with a distributed team across US East Coast, UK, and EU time zones.</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>6+ years of experience developing backend systems using Python.</li><li>Experience with RPC and data streaming technologies.</li><li>Experience with AWS cloud services.</li><li>Experience working with MySQL databases.</li><li>Experience using Kubernetes.</li><li>Awareness of best practices for writing, testing, and safely deploying production code.</li></ul><h3><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h3><ul><li>Experience with payment systems or payment processors.</li><li>&#8203;&#8203;&#8203;&#8203;&#8203;&#8203;&#8203;Experience working on systems that move money.</li></ul>",
