We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Lead HRIS Analyst</strong> serves as a senior functional and technical expert for Workday HCM, providing strategic guidance, hands-on configuration, and ongoing optimization across key modules. This role ensures Workday is leveraged to support business processes and enable operational excellence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate brings deep HRIS expertise, advanced Workday configuration skills, and proven experience leading cross-functional projects with a preference for expertise in Workday payroll.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Most Fred Hutch jobs require some on-campus work. Please check with the recruiter if you are an out-of-state applicant interested only in working outside of the Seattle area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>System Configuration & Optimization</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of enhancements across Workday HCM modules, including;\n  <ul>\n   <li>Payroll</li>\n   <li>Security Administration</li>\n   <li>Time & Absence</li>\n   <li>Benefits</li>\n   <li>Advanced Compensation</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Translate business requirements into solutions and recommend design improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.</li>\n <li>Design, build, and maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, custom validations, and notifications/alerts.</li>\n <li>Ability to define and understand functional and data requirements for integrations, while collaborating closely with the integration developer</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Production Support & Issue Resolution</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the escalation point for complex system issues, troubleshooting root causes, and ensuring timely resolution.</li>\n <li>Maintain system integrity and data accuracy through audits, testing, and ongoing monitoring.</li>\n <li>Manage biannual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression planning, and configuration updates.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data, Reporting & Security</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to support HR and business leaders.</li>\n <li>Oversee Workday security configuration, including role administration, access controls, and audit compliance.</li>\n <li>Ensure adherence to data privacy, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Project Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead Workday-related projects, from scoping and requirements gathering to design, testing, and deployment.</li>\n <li>Work closely with internal stakeholders on cross-functional projects.</li>\n <li>Influence process improvements, standardization, and best practice adoption.</li>\n <li>Support training and knowledge transfer within the HRIS team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Act as an adviser to HR and business stakeholders, offering guidance on Workday capabilities, process improvements, and system optimization.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li>\n <li>10+ years of HRIS experience with at least 6+ years of Workday HCM configuration.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience configuring multiple Workday modules, including Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Security, and/or Compensation.</li>\n <li>Experience building Workday reports and configuring dashboards.  </li>\n <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work independently.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Workday Payroll Certification</li>\n <li>Workday Pro Security Certification</li>\n <li>Experience with complex report building including composite reports.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: UKG, iCIMS, OnBase.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of HR operations, compliance, and payroll processes.</li>\n <li>Experience mentoring or guiding HRIS analysts or other lead experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $120,931 to $191,131, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
