The candidate may serve as designee to assist in shift assignments, interact with other departments and set up for meetings or special events. Helps sweeping and general clean up of the branch including locker rooms and fitness areas. The candidate should accomplish tasks in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with YMCA of Greater Rochester standards.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Performs preventative maintenance tasks for the branch.</li><li>Repairs and maintains building surfaces, structures, property and operating equipment as directed by the Building &amp; Grounds Director.</li><li>Maintains pool and filter areas.</li><li>Inspects, cleans and maintains custodial equipment.</li><li>Assists Building &amp; Grounds Director in the quality control of building cleanliness and perform custodial duties as needed.</li><li>Paints premises and performs construction restoration projects as directed by the Building &amp; Grounds Director.</li><li>Reports to the Building and Grounds Director any damage to property or needed repairs.</li><li>Helps supervise cleaning and weekend staff.</li><li>Assists and directs work for other building mechanics.</li><li>Remains accessible and on-call for building emergencies as a back up to the Building &amp; Grounds Director.</li><li>Sets up, takes down, and stores program equipment as needed and consistently.</li><li>Shovels snow, clears and salts sidewalk in inclement weather.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul>",
