This role ensures fresh, high-quality product availability, strong merchandising execution, and excellent customer service while driving sales and supporting team performance.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <strong>Department Operations</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Assist in overseeing daily produce department functions including receiving, stocking, trimming, and merchandising</li>\n  <li>Ensure all products meet company standards for freshness, quality, and proper rotation</li>\n  <li>Maintain full, visually appealing displays that align with merchandising plans and seasonal programs</li>\n  <li>Support ordering and inventory control to meet customer demand and minimize shrink</li>\n </ul><strong>Leadership &amp; Team Support</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Help supervise, train, and coach produce associates to ensure strong performance and engagement</li>\n  <li>Delegate daily tasks and follow up to ensure completion of department priorities</li>\n  <li>Lead by example with strong execution, work ethic, and customer service</li>\n  <li>Act as department lead in the absence of the Produce Manager</li>\n </ul><strong>Customer Service</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers with product selection and inquiries</li>\n  <li>Educate customers on product usage, seasonality, and freshness</li>\n  <li>Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally</li>\n </ul><strong>Inventory &amp; Shrink Control</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Maintain proper rotation practices (FIFO) to ensure product freshness and reduce waste</li>\n  <li>Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering to prevent out-of-stocks and overstock conditions</li>\n  <li>Identify shrink issues and support corrective actions to improve profitability</li>\n </ul><strong>Food Safety &amp; Sanitation</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and temperature standards</li>\n  <li>Maintain a clean, organized sales floor, prep areas, and backroom</li>\n  <li>Follow all company policies and regulatory requirements</li>\n </ul><strong>Qualifications</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li>\n  <li>Previous produce or grocery experience preferred</li>\n  <li>Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus</li>\n  <li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills</li>\n  <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment</li>\n </ul><strong>Physical Requirements</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs</li>\n  <li>Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and reaching</li>\n  <li>Comfortable working in wet and refrigerated conditions</li>\n </ul><strong>Work Environment</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Fast-paced retail setting</li>\n  <li>Exposure to varying temperatures and perishable products</li>\n  <li>Flexible scheduling including early mornings, weekends, and holidays</li>\n </ul><strong>Success Factors</strong>\n <ul>\n  <li>Strong attention to quality, freshness, and presentation</li>\n  <li>Effective leadership and team development skills</li>\n  <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results</li>\n  <li>Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence</li>\n </ul>\n</div>",
