    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Provide academic student support by working one-on-one and in small groups with students on specific concepts and skills.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Tutor individual and small groups of students in fundamental and advanced skills and areas of knowledge.</li>\n <li>Facilitate student study groups.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance to students in comprehending discipline specific subject matter.</li>\n <li>Respond to student questions requiring an in-depth knowledge of subject matter, course concepts and learning objectives.</li>\n <li>Assist in conducting student support functions.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance with testing in special circumstances where discipline specific knowledge is required (e.g. students with special needs).</li>\n <li>Support student use of discipline specific technology and the course learning management system.</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education & Experience Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or, in limited circumstances, the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.</li>\n <li>Prior tutoring experience desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, cultures, and knowledge base.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to communicate ideas, principles and concepts effectively in individual or small group settings.</li>\n <li>Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level in some or all of the following: Microsoft Office, procedural programming, object-oriented programming, databases (SQL preferred), and data structures.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of information research strategies.</li>\n <li>Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and faculty.</li>\n <li>Must have ability to travel to other sites as needed.</li>\n <li><strong>Fluency in Spanish is required.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities. </li>\n <li>Positions are available for both day and evening hours.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Application Documents</h2>Cover Letter, CV, Resume\n<h2>Pay Rate</h2>$22.05/hr",
