Our team members are empowered to make an impact while delivering the expertise, service, and reliability our customers depend on.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><strong>Database Management, Modeling and Development:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Administer and maintain the P21 databases (SQL) to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.</li><li>Create and maintain logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity and efficient use of resources.</li><li>Implement database structures based on application requirements and best practices.</li><li>Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide effective database solutions.</li><li>Manage user access and permissions to databases, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.</li><li>Oversee SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to design, develop, and deploy reports for various stakeholders across the organization.</li><li>Create/Maintain SSIS packages used for importing/exporting/updating data.</li></ul><p><strong>Data Security and Integrity:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data.</li><li>Perform regular data integrity checks and implement measures to address any discrepancies.</li><li>Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.</li><li>Regularly audit and update user permissions and access controls.</li></ul><p><strong>Performance Tuning &amp; Query Optimization:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of database systems for efficient and fast query execution.</li><li>Collaborate with the data science team to optimize SQL queries and improve overall system performance.</li><li>Write efficient, tuned, and well-documented SQL queries to extract, update, and manipulate data.</li></ul><p><strong>Backup, Recovery and Documentation:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Collaborate with the technology team to develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.</li><li>Test and verify backups to ensure the ability to restore systems in case of data loss.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.</li><li>Develop and update documentation for database-related policies and best practices.</li><li><strong>Critical Business Partner</strong><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Work with end users to understand business requirements for reports/processes and be able to &lsquo;assist&rsquo;
