We are looking for people to join our team and be part of an organization that values being community focused, providing customer service excellence, working with integrity, having fun, and fostering belonging!<br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">We are now hiring<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SWIM CAMP COUNSELOR</span> at our Outdoor Pools during the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summer 2026 season</span>!<em> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We will train you!</span></em><br> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU’LL DO: </span>Being a swim camp counselor, you will be tasked with supervising and instructing participants in proper swim techniques and camp activities. Additional responsibilities include: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Teach participants appropriate skills outlined by the Starfish Aquatics Program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Supervise participants in assigned camp groups. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Plan camp games and activities for each camp day. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Evaluate participant skill level and record appropriate level; communicate with participants and their parents on progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Prepare and complete necessary paperwork for each session.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ensure that all Health Department and Starfish Standards are met.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Enforce Park District rules and safety practices.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT YOU’LL BRING:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Some high school education.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Must be at least 15 years of age pursuant to Starfish Aquatics Program guidelines by May 15, 2026. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">1 year of experience including working with children preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ability to spend up to 100% of work time engaging in physical movement in water.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"> <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHEN YOU’LL WORK:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Actual schedule varies based on your availability!
