We are known as experts in engineering, manufacturing, and servicing innovative automated materials handling systems including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The company is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Cost Accountant. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Cost Accountant I</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary/ Primary Purpose </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Manager of Cost Accounting, as a part of a cross functional Team, this person supports forecasting, cost and project accounting responsibilities.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibility</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Daily processing of contract orders and changes</li>\n <li>Monthly review and forecasting of less complex projects and other short cycle orders</li>\n <li>Maintain project budgets and revenue recognition in ERP systems</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures (JSOX)</li>\n <li>Testing and implementation of special projects as required</li>\n <li>Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed </li>\n <li>Meet regularly with Operations personnel to gage project financial performance</li>\n <li>Publish various managerial accounting reports</li>\n <li>Process improvement<strong> </strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Basic Broad Knowledge </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>English Language </li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of cost and US GAAP accounting principles</li>\n <li>Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Basic Skills & Abilities </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Time Management </li>\n <li>Critical Thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.</li>\n <li>Analytical ability as it pertains to understanding and explaining manufacturing variances as well as other types of analysis. </li>\n <li>Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.</li>\n <li>Monitoring - monitoring/assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Basic Skills & Abilities </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verbal and Written Expression and Recognition - the ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences.</li>\n <li>Information Ordering — the ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).</li>\n <li>Problem Sensitivity — the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.</li>\n <li>Maintains attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive tasks. </li>\n <li>Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines. Flexibility required to meet reporting deadlines is required. </li>\n <li>Hands-on style and able to work with minimal supervision.
