It focuses on practically developing the skills needed to perform the tasks of a staff accountant rather than simply reading a job description or being told the ins and outs of the job. </p>\n<p><br>We can’t wait to see how this experience helps you explore your passions and shape your future.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">JOB SHADOW EXPERIENCE<br><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>We believe that tailoring our program to match each student's interests is key to creating an enriching learning experience.<br><br></li>\n<li>Our job shadow program usually spans 10-15 hours over the course of 2-3 days at a Whitinger office.<br><br></li>\n<li>The student's role is largely observational. Our team will provide exposure to a wide range of roles within our firm, as well as various career paths in accounting.<br><br></li>\n<li>Students will interact with Whitinger senior associates as well as recent graduates in the first few years of their careers. They have a wealth of knowledge to share!<br><br></li>\n<li>Participants will receive coaching on resume development and networking, and will also receive a professional profile photo. <br><br></li>\n<li>The value of a job shadow experience lies in the insight and perspective it provides. Participants are not paid.<br><br></li>\n<li>This program is ideal for high school juniors and seniors, as well as college freshmen and sophomores.</li>\n</ul>",
