Chestnut Hill College Nursing invites applications for both tenure and non-tenure track Assistant and Associate Faculty Positions . 9-month and 12-month positions are available. We seek nurses excited about educating nursing students who will be the pillars of the nursing profession well into the future.
The Nursing Program at Chestnut Hill College is an exciting and modern new adventure in Baccalaureate Nursing education. Boasting a 22,000 sq foot state-of the art Nursing Clinical Arts Lab, a fully equipped Simulation Suite, three clinical skills labs and a ten bed Health Assessment space, this site is located on the bucolic Sugarloaf campus in Chestnut Hill. Offering two Bachelor of Science programs in Nursing (traditional 4 years) Undergraduate Program and an Accelerated Second Bachelor's degree (ABSN) , the College has welcomed almost 40 nursing majors to our community.
CHC Nursing offers traditional nursing theory courses with accompanying clinical rotations , as well as courses in Evidence Based Decision Making, seminars in Evolving Issues in Nursing and Health Care, and focused coursework on the Aging Population in the United States.
The nursing programs also focus heavily on “Burning Brightly” a program which is devoted to working with students from the inception of their education, to develop reflective practice and resilience skills to prepare them for a professional practice in a complex and high stakes profession.

Minimum Qualifications:
A terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience At least 5 years of teaching experience preferred A demonstrated record of scholarly activity in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship An unencumbered license OR a multi-state professional nurse license from appropriate states to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Position Responsibilities:
Teach 24 credit hours in the academic year (12 per semester, note that lab/clinical hours are counted as teaching credit hours) Engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship at the Assistant Professor level Serve on Nursing Program Committees Assist with course revisions and curriculum development Assist, advise, and mentor students in course selection, career development, and research pursuits Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the philosophical basis for and content of the mission, goals, and values of the Nursing Program. Assist with the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of the nursing curriculum. Teach theory, laboratory and/or clinical as assigned within area of specialization. Assist with the development and evaluation of student, progression, retention, and graduation policies of the nursing program. Participate in student academic advisement. Serve as the course leader supervising and evaluating the progress of additional faculty assigned and students enrolled in the course. Serve on College committees Maintain competencies related to professional development, research and scholarly activities to advance the nursing discipline. Maintain expertise in area of clinical nursing specialization Maintain a professional relationship within the community, profession and related health systems. Maintain continuing professional development in accordance with Pennsylvania Board of Nursing regulation regarding continuing education with a minimum of 6 continuing education credits/units annually in clinical specialization.
