We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply!</p><p>NYS Certification Required.</p><p>As an Academic Intervention Specialist you will:</p><ul><li>Assist with preparation and instruction- (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies)</li><li>Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention - Tier 2 and 3 Interventions</li><li>Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events</li><li>Share data collected with stakeholders (classroom teacher, parents)</li><li>Implement classroom policies and procedures</li><li>Lead students to and from specials/lunch</li><li>Effectively manage student behavior</li><li>Perform other related duties as required and assigned</li><li>Follow Response to Intervention (RTI) process (i.e. administering researched based interventions, progress monitoring)</li></ul><p>What we can provide</p><ul><li>Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, employee assistance program and more!</li><li>Enrollment in the NYS Teacher Retirement System (TRS) or 403b employer match</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Competitive salary (based on pay scale, experience, and education)</li><li>Professional development opportunities.
