    "description": "<h2>Position Scope</h2>\n<p>NACG is seeking <strong>Skilled Ground Workers</strong> to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.  This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to <strong>$36.74/hour</strong> as well as room for growth!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Where You’ll Be Working</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Site: Syncrude Aurora</li>\n <li>Schedule: 14 x 7, hour days (paid for 12 hours). Days only.</li>\n <li>Accommodations: Camp accommodation is <strong>not</strong> provided.</li>\n <li>Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)</li>\n <li>Overtime: Provided after 8 hours in a day or 44 hours in a week.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are proud to work with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.  Successful candidates will become a part of that union.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>What’s In It for You?</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits are important and we offer lots!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Up to a combined rate of pay of <strong>$36.74</strong>/ hour</li>\n <li>$33/day travel allowance</li>\n <li>Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck</li>\n <li>Paid weekly </li>\n <li>Membership with one of the largest IUOE locals in North America </li>\n <li>Benefits and pension after 400 hours worked, including medical and dental benefits</li>\n <li>Transportation to and from site, save on gas expenses!</li>\n <li>PPE provided, just bring your own CSA certified steel toed boots</li>\n <li>Room for growth and future advancements</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What You’ll Be Doing</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Steam cleaning equipment as required.</li>\n <li>Snow removal around shop and front parking lot (seasonal).</li>\n <li>Operating fork trucks for moving parts and other items.</li>\n <li>Operating company vehicles to pick up parts and move items as requested.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures.  </li>\n <li>Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE.</li>\n <li>Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> <strong><u>What Makes You the ONE</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 1 year driving in a mine</li>\n <li><p>Must be able to drive and be able to back up light towers and heaters</p></li>\n <li>Successful candidate must be physically fit, capable of lifting 50 lbs and work well with others.</li>\n <li><p>Able to work night shift  in cold winter conditions</p></li>\n <li><p>Some equipment experience required</p></li>\n <li><p>Able to communicate on a two way radio</p></li>\n <li>Attentive and possess strong listening skills</li>\n <li>A safety-first attitude</li>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset</li>\n <li>Be fluent in English, both verbally and written</li>\n <li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p><strong><u>What’s Next</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:</p>\n<li>Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s Abstract</li>\n<li>Valid CSO, OHS, Silica Awareness, Field Ergonomics, Wood Buffalo Wildelife Awareness, Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness Certifications.</li>\n<li>Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites</li>\n<li>Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:</li>\n<ul>\n <li>Breath Alcohol Test</li>\n <li>Urine Drug Test</li>\n <li>Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment</li>\n <li>Audiometric Testing</li>\n <li>Vision Screening</li>\n <li>Criminal Record Check</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Once dispatched the following processes will occur:</p>\n<li>Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing</li>\n<li>An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out</li>\n<li>After all results and paperwork are received by NACG, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.</li>\n<p><em>Please note: The onboarding process can take anywhere from 3-8 business days.</em></p>\n<p>Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE, SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED VIA PHONE OR EMAIL.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>NACG in a Nutshell</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong>North American Construction Group (NACG) has served as an industry leader in the heavy construction and mining industries for over 65 years.
